Goodyear woman arrested after ransacking Tempe home
Racell Thompson By Jennifer Thomas
TEMPE -- Tempe police arrested a Goodyear woman after she unlawfully entered a home and became disorderly.
According to the Tempe Police Department, Racell K. Thompson, 24, rang the doorbell of a home in the 900 block of South Lola Lane at approximately 3:15 a.m. Saturday.
The resident answered the door and Thompson told him she needed help. The man told officers that Thompson was not making sense and appeared to be very intoxicated.
The man said Thompson hit him and made her way into the home through the open front door. She was told to leave but instead she ransacked the inside of the home, tossing a stack of magazines, flipping over a table, and tumbling over the back of a couch.
Thompson was detained by the investigating officers as they arrived on scene. She resisted being placed in the back of a patrol car and kicked at the plexiglass divider in the rear of the vehicle, causing it to crack.
Thompson was charged with first-degree trespassing, assault, criminal damage and disorderly conduct.
