AAA getting in on distracted driving debate with Heads Up Driving WeekPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- AAA Arizona is getting into the center of the distracted driving debate by issuing a challenge to Valley drivers -- don't even talk to passengers while you're driving. It's part of the organization's inaugural "Heads Up Driving Week."
AAA Arizona is asking drivers to refrain from a variety of activities while driving, including using cell phones, texting and e-mailing, eating and talking with other passengers. The organization also points out some more obvious distractions like reading, writing and personal grooming.
The hope is that once drivers eliminate these distracting behaviors for a week, the changes will become permanent.
