COOLIDGE - Another Arizona high school teacher has been arrested after accusations of sexual exploitation of a minor. Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 36-year-old Alfonso Padilla, a computer teacher, on Thursday night on probable cause of 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
Padilla was arrested at Coolidge High School. Sheriff’s deputies reportedly received the suspect’s computer after someone found “disturbing” images on the computer. Deputies obtained a search warrant and found over 50 photos they described as sexually graphic images of children under the age of 13 years old.
During an interview with the suspect, Padilla admitted that he had been fired from Higley High School about three years ago for inappropriate conduct with a minor while online. Padilla is being held in the Maricopa County jail on a $63,000 bond.
