Boldin misses practice, but Cardinals coach optimisticPosted: Updated:
TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -- Arizona's Anquan (AN'-kwahn) Boldin sat out practice yesterday, but Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt says he's optimistic the three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver will play in Sunday's season-opener against San Francisco.
A sore hamstring kept Boldin out of the final two preseason games and he didn't practice last week.
Whisenhunt says that in talking with Boldin, he thinks the chances the receiver will play are "very good." Whisenhunt says that his history with Boldin in such situations adds to his optimism.
Meanwhile, wide receiver Steve Breaston says he is still not 100 percent recovered from a bruised kneecap, but is expected to play Sunday.
