TEMPE -- Health officials across the Valley are getting ready for what could be a bad flu and swine flu season.
ASU students preparing to combat flu - azfamily.com's Ryan O'Donnell reports students at ASU are already preparing for what could be one of the worst years for flu's.
There are signs up all over the Arizona State University campus reminding students to do the simple things like wash their hands and cover sneezes and coughs with their arm instead of their hands.
"I think this is the time for students to really get the message to protect themselves so they don't get sick," said Dr. Allan Markus with ASU Health Services.
Health Services has put together a flu kit, which includes basic medicines along with masks, hand sanitizer and a thermometer.
It will cost the students $10 for the kits.
Health Services will also bring food to students' rooms if they get sick.
