Police search for missing mentally challenged man

PHOENIX - The Phoenix Police Department is looking for Andrew Rendo. Rendo was last seen by his family on September 3.


Man with mental problems missing for days - azfamily.com's Kirsten Joyce reports it has been five days since anyone has seen or heard from 24-year-old Andrew Rendo.

Rendo is mentally challenged and not currently taking medications.

He was last seen at a residence in the area of 2200 E. Sunnyside.

Rondo is a white male, 24, 6'0 tall, 170 pounds with green eyes and brown hair, last seen wearing a blue t-shirt and plaid shorts.

According to Phoenix police Rendo's vehicle was found in the area of the White Tank Mountains by Maricopa County Sheriff's deputies.

"The family has indicated to police that there is no reason for Mr. Rendo's vehicle to have been in that area and the family has seen no clues which would indicate that he would voluntarily leave without notice," said James Holmes with Phoenix police.
