Suspected drunken driver kills 2, injures 7

PHOENIX (AP) -- A red-light runner suspected of driving drunk hit a car in the early morning hours Saturday in Phoenix, killing two people.

The driver who hit the car, identified as 27-year-old Jesus Manuel Briseno, was arrested on two counts of manslaughter and several counts of aggravated assault.

Both of the people killed were in the car he hit; they were 18- and 20-year-old men. Seven other people in both vehicles had non-life-threatening injuries.
