Missing hospital worker claiming kidnapping found at San Dieo resortPosted: Updated:
MESA -- A hospital worker who had been missing since last week has been found safe in California, but her story has taken a bizarre turn.
Search on for missing hospital worker - azfamily.com's Stacey Delikat reports the search is on for a hospital employee who disappeared after finishing up her shift in the east Valley.
Pam Nudo, 56, had not been seen since the end of her shift at Banner Desert Medical Center last Thursday.
While her car, a Chevy Cavalier, was also missing, Nudo's wallet, purse and keys were found in her unlocked home.
Her family was concerned because Nudo has a heart condition and did not appear to have her medication with her.
Nudo said she was kidnapped by an armed Hispanic man after she won thousands of dollars at a Valley casino Thursday night.
The hospital contacted police after Nudo failed to show up for work for several days.
Southern California detectives later found Nudo at a San Diego resort.
Mesa police said while Nudo seems to be good health, she is not cooperating with their investigation.
