Somehow, Kenzie, a two-year-old brown tabby, managed to survive on the dangerous and extremely hot streets while nursing her four baby kittens.

Arizona Humane Society

Thankfully, she was found by a Good Samaritan who then brought her to the Arizona Humane Society where she would be safe and could find a forever home.

Kenzie and her kittens spent a few months in a loving foster home until the babies were old enough to go up for adoption. All four of her kittens found homes quickly, but Kenzie is still looking for a loving family to call her own.

Kenzie is a petite kitty who will captivate all the feline fanciers with her expressive green eyes and her flirtatious fluffy tail. Kenzie is still a kitten at heart, and she doesn't hold back when she sees an enticing kitty toy dangling in front of her. She loves to play "soccer" and when a toy mouse is tossed her way, like a goalie, she will catch it with both paws.

She also has a strange fascination with plastic bags, and she loves to make the crinkling sound by pouncing on a plastic bag. Kenzie spends her alone time relaxing on the top level of a kitty condo, and she will scratch on a sisal rope scratching post located at the bottom of the cat condo. She isn't destructive though, and she will even let her human friends put Soft Paws on her which will keep her claws out of the furniture.

Kenzie is the purr-fect family pet because she gets along with everyone she meets. She enjoys the company and companionship of children, dogs and other cats as long as she has time to adjust.

Kenzie is available now at the Arizona Humane Society's Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion, 1521 West Dobbins Road in Phoenix. Her adoption fee is only $50. This fee includes her spay surgery, vaccines, a colorful collar, an AHS I.D. tag, a follow-up veterinary exam, and a pet carrier.
