Kevin McNeill brings Corbin's -- the sequel -- to Arrowhhead, offering the same eclectic American menu that has served him so well at the original location on Central. Some dishes work extraordinarily well, given that this a casual bar and grill, others . . . not so much. I'd warn you away from the fried chicken and tell you that the house-made potato chips and calamari are just okay. But let's accentuate the positive and talk about what you're bound to like: namely, the ancho shrimp appetizer, bathed in a robust brick red sauce poured over polenta; the stone-fired quesadilla topped with Tasso ham, caramelized onion and red pepper flakes; the Carolina burger, topped with cheddar, applewood-smoked bacon, red onion and house-made BBQ sauce and the Via Mexico salad, topped with shredded smoked pork, avocado, jicama and other goodies. Chicken stuffed with green chile, sour cream and queso fresco, finished with tomatillo is great too. Meanwhile, the bar area has a cool, contemporary look. Lunch and dinner daily. $-$$
