Gone to the DogsPosted: Updated:
Forget about MySpace, forget about Friendster, how about Dogster? Yes, there is such a thing!!! My sister recently told me about this website that's literally gone to the dogs. So of course, being the dog lover that I am, I had to put my two pooches on the website.
Chance is a 2 1/2 year-old black Labrador mix. I adopted him after he was featured as the "Pet of the Week" on the morning show I used to anchor in Ohio. I fell in love with him at first sight. He was saved from a home where he and the other puppies in his litter were neglected and abused. He got a second chance at life. Plus, we were taking a chance on this new puppy because my husband (who was my finance at that time) was allergic to dogs! But he was willing to take medication for his allergies and eventually grew out of it! Hence the name, Chance.
Chance got a brother last year. 1 1/2 year old Cleveland is a yellow Labrador. He is all pup. Cleveland wags his tail so fast constantly, his whole body shakes. We call it the Cleveland cha-cha.
I think all dog lovers can relate when I say they are my babies. The best part of having dogs? No matter how hectic your day has been, no matter how bad you may be feeling.. dogs have that magic of lifting your spirits with their wet, sloppy kisses when you come home.
