Arrest made in gang-related shootingPosted: Updated:
A 22-year old man has been arrested and charged in a gang-related shooting that left a 26-year old man dead. Juan Ramirez turned himself in on Saturday, August 16, and is in jail facing charges of second-degree murder, aggravated assault, and kidnapping.
Police say Ramirez shot and killed David Salas in a shopping center parking lot in the 900 block of West Irvington Road on Saturday, August 2. According to Gang Unit Detectives, a verbal altercation between members of two gangs broke out inside of a barber shop, and the argument led to a fistfight outside which ended with the shooting of Salas.
