Veterans hopeful for help from new AdministrationPosted: Updated:
What was once known as "Armistice Day" was started to remember World War I, which ended on the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month. Today we call it " Veterans Day," when we pause to honor and thank all Veterans who have sacrificed to protect the nation.
"He said it's not going to happen overnight, but I think we can look forward to some change and benefits from this experience," says Richard Lemons, a Vietnam Veteran. He says a lot of other Vietnam Vets that he knows suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder, and he's hopeful that the Obama Administration will put a greater emphasis on treating people with similar ailments.
