Obama chooses Napolitano for Homeland Security chief

President-elect Barack Obama made it official on Monday, December 1, saying he wants Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano to become his Secretary of Homeland Security. That means that for the fourth time in two decades, Arizona will have an un-elected Governor.

Napolitano says she will not resign as Governor until she is confirmed in her new job by the Senate, which won't take place until after Obama is inaugurated on January 20.
