Delay in election results due to new security planPosted: Updated:
It turns out the Primary vote for 2008 in Pima County was a slow, drawn out process. Thanks to new security measures put in place by the County, finding out who won in the September 2nd election took a while.
Meantime, County Administrator Chuck Huckelberry told Fox 11 News that he plans to suggest a way to speed up the process in November. His plan is to have a number of polling locations drive to one of about 15 sites, and electronically send in the numbers from there. He thinks that could get the results out hours earlier, but all political parties would have to agree to the changes.
