Foreign pilots to train at Davis -MonthanPosted: Updated:
Flying units from the United Kingdom and Belgium will be deployed at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base between September and November as part of Operation Snowbird. The operation is so named because it allows units from other U.S. military installations and allied partners to train in the optimal weather conditions and ample ranges of Southern Arizona.
The units will use the training in preparation for upcoming deployments later this year. They will take off toward and land from the southeast of the base as winds permit, and will comply with all of the base's traffic patterns and noise-abatement procedures.
