The Giving Tree will hold their annual Thanksgiving Dinner for those that are homeless, in need, or otherwise would be alone, on Thursday, November 27, at 4 p.m. on the empty lot on 22nd Street between Swan and Columbus, next to the Palm Court Inn. A traditional dinner will be served, and there will also be a jumping castle and other activities for kids.
Non-perishable food, warm clothing and blankets can be dropped off at the Giving Tree office at 4888 East Broadway. Financial gifts and grocery or department store gift cards can be mailed to the same address, or brought to the office between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. More information on becoming a volunteer can be obtained by calling 520-320-KIDS.
