Woman arrested on embezzlement chargesPosted: Updated:
A 48-year old woman is in the Pima County Jail, accused of embezzling more than $304,000 from a company she had been employed by for nearly 15 years. Rhonda McCommons was arrested at her home on Thursday, September 18, and faces charges of theft, forgery, fraudulent schemes and computer tampering.
The investigation began in April when a financial institution contacted the owner of Griggs Product Incorporated indicating that several of his business checks were being used to pay off personal credit card accounts in Ms. McCommon's name. Detectives then subpoenaed records from five financial institutions and found evidence of additional fraudulent activity by the suspect.
