Tucson Airport Authority Budget approved

Posted: Updated:

The Tucson Airport Authority (TAA) Board of Directors has approved a $64 million operating and capital improvement budget for Fiscal Year 2009. Operating revenues are projected to decrease $1.9 million or 4.4%, due primarily to the severe cutback in flights by the U.S. airline industry and weakening demand for air travel due to the uncertain economy.

The total budget is a decrease of $27 million, or 29.7% from last year, due primarily to completion of major projects and a reduced capital improvement program for the upcoming fiscal year.
