Marana voters to decide fate of housing developmentPosted: Updated:
Voters in Marana will have an opportunity in March to vote on a proposed housing development plan. In October of 2007, Marana Town Council approved the plan for a 133-acre development called DeAnza, but some residents opposed to the plan launched a signature drive to put the question on the ballot. The case has been tied up in court since January of this year, but on December 1, the Arizona Superior Court ruled that the referendum can go forward.
The issue will appear on the March 10 ballot alongside candidates for Marana Town Council.
