Work to close lanes at Mariposa Port of EntryPosted: Updated:
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is upgrading the vehicle lanes at the Mariposa Port of Entry starting September 8. The upgrade involves the installation of Radio-Frequency Identification devices, which will be used with travel documents to expedite the border crossing experience.
Work will only be done on weekdays, and all lanes at the DeConcini Port of Entry will be open during the installation project so that travelers can use that crossing location as an alternative. Work at the Mariposa Port of Entry is expected to be finished by September 19.
