New law on license plate display to go into effect

Posted: Updated:

Starting on January 1st, a new law will go into effect in Arizona that requires all motorists driving vehicles with Arizona license plates to be sure that the name of the state at the top of the plate is clearly visible. Those found to be in violation of the law will face fines of between $110 and $200.

The main reason for the change is to help law enforcement officers and the public better identify license plates on vehicles that have been involved in a crime.
