Arrest made in Tucson cold case murderPosted: Updated:
Pima County Sheriff's Detectives have made an arrest in the 1996 murder of a Tucson businessman. Ronald Young was arrested at his California home on Friday, October 17, and is awaiting extradition to Arizona to face charges of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder in the death of Gary Triano.
Police theorize that Young and Triano's wife, Pamela Phillips, conspired to kill Triano. Phillips had taken out a large life insurance policy on Triano at the time of the mudrer. She faces the same charges as Young, but police say she fled the country and may be living in Europe.
