Motive for south side shooting unknownPosted: Updated:
A 19-year old man was shot and killed in a convenience store parking lot in the 1400 block of West Ajo Way on Sunday, August 17. Police say Joshua Parsons of Tucson was shot by 21-year old Alejandro Bencomo, who has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
According to investigators, Parsons was a passenger in a vehicle leaving a Circle K store shortly before 1:30 a.m. when shots were fired from another vehicle going west on Ajo Way. Detectives say that Bencomo, who was inside the store at the time, came outside and fired several shots at Parsons' vehicle. There is no indication that Parsons or any of the other occupants of his vehicle were involved in any wrongdoing.
