Tucson Police form Violent Crime Task Force

Posted: Updated:

The Tucson Police Department has formed a Violent Crime Task Force, with the goal of targeting and arresting known violent criminals in the city. The task force is comprised of officers from the bicycle units, motorcycle squads, community response teams, and other patrol officers.

Tucson Police Chief Kermit Miller decided to form the task force after seeing a recent increase in homicides, robberies, and aggravated assaults in the city. The Police Department is asking for the public's help in making the task force a success by reporting any suspicious activity in your neighborhood and providing them with descriptions of the people and vehicles involved.
