Bureau of Land Management has new Special-Agent-In-ChargePosted: Updated:
Bart Fitzgerald has been named the new Special-Agent-In-Charge (SAC) for the Bureau of Land Management's (BLM) Arizona office. Fitzgerald previously served as SAC for the BLM's Montana State Office, and started his new position in Arizona on August 11.
In his new position, Fitzgerald will be responsible for the technical aspects of BLM Arizona's law enforcement program, and will oversee law enforcement and resource protection operations for 12.2 million acres of public land. He replaces Lyle "Bud" Shaver, who retired in March.
