Habitat For Humanity to raise walls on four homesPosted: Updated:
On the seventh anniversary of the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center, Habitat for Humanity Tucson will raise the walls on four new homes that will be awarded to deserving Tucson families. More than 350 volunteers are expected to contribute to the homes, which will be located in the Corazon Del Pueblo home development at I-10 and Craycroft.
In addition, this year Habitat Tucson will also start a new green initiative to recycle drywall, lumber, steel, copper, mixed plastic and cardboard on it's work sites. "We're excited to be launching this initiative at our biggest event of the year, and we anticipate being able to divert literally tons of waste from the landfill with these new measures," said McDonald.
