Walkers find man's body inside tunnel in Prescott Valley washPosted: Updated:
PRESCOTT -- Two people out for a walk discovered a body inside a tunnel in Prescott Valley Wednesday morning.
The walkers reportedly found the body of Prescott Valley resident Bryce Smith, 50, inside a tunnel in a wash on Lakeshore Drive, one mile west of Fain Road.
Detectives do not believe Smith's death was a homicide, according to Yavapai County Sheriff's Office spokesman Dwight D'Evelyn.
Preliminary information indicates that Smith sustained his injuries in the area where his body was found.
A preliminary report from the medical examiner indicates Smith's wounds were superficial and not the cause of death. The examiner is waiting for toxicology test results.
Detectives do not have any suspects at this time.
