Cardinals re-sign James Holloway, waive Elliot VallejoPosted: Updated:
TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -- The Arizona Cardinals have re-signed linebacker James Holloway and released injured offensive tackle Elliot Vallejo.
Holloway spent the 2007 season on the Cardinals' practice squad before being activated for the final game. He was released by Arizona last year and spent the final two weeks of the 2008 season on the Cleveland Browns' practice squad.
The Cardinals were looking for an outside linebacker after losing second-round draft pick Cody Brown to a season-ending wrist injury in Saturday night's preseason loss to San Diego.
Vallejo bounced between the active and practice squad with Arizona last season.
He had been dealing with a dislocated kneecap in the preseason.
