Dora is a people-oriented pooch with a big heart and a lot of love to share with her new forever family.

Dora

This gentle Pit bull terrier and Chinese Sharpei mix LOVES human companionship and she craves attention from all the doggie lovers in her life.

At the spirited age of two, Dora wears an ear to ear grin on her face, and she is always looking for an adventure. She patiently awaits the opportunity to go for brisk walks around the neighborhood, tag along for a car ride, or explore the world around her on a long rugged hike. After a long day of play, Dora likes to sprawl out in the middle of the living room and chew on a Kong toy filled to the brim with scrumptious treats. She is also fond of soaking up belly rubs and ear scratches from anyone in the room.

Dora may need a refresher course on basic training, but she is always eager to impress those around her and will learn quickly from a patient pal with a pocket full of treats. Dora adores children, and she would love to find a home with a few playful kids who are willing to toss a tennis ball in the yard for her every evening. She is picky about her canine comrades however, and she insists on meeting any other canines before she goes home. She is very curious and when she catches a whiff of a feline she will try to chase it so she must find a home without kitties.

Dora is available now at the Arizona Humane Society's Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion, 1521 West Dobbins Road in Phoenix. Her adoption fee is only $110. This fee includes her spay surgery, vaccines, a colorful collar and leash, an AHS I.D. tag, and a follow-up veterinary exam.
