English expected to miss Chargers' exhibition at ArizonaPosted: Updated:
SAN DIEGO (AP) -- It looks like Chargers rookie outside linebacker Larry English will be sidelined again when San Diego plays its second exhibition game Saturday night at Arizona.
The team's first-round draft pick was unable to work in team drills yesterday due to a balky left hamstring that has cost him two weeks of training camp, including the exhibition opener.
He's encouraged that he's improving, but he's not quite there yet.
While his teammates were going through the afternoon session, English was toiling with trainer James Collins and going through a series of mobility drills.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Saturday at University of Phoenix Stadium.
