7 Arizona postal stations avoid consolidation - The U.S. Postal Service's Arizona District announced that no changes will be made at seven of the eight Arizona postal facilities it has been studying for possible consolidation.
Still under consideration is Tucson's Midtown Station but district officials say a final decision won't be made until Oct. 1 at the earliest.
The seven locations no longer being considered for consolidation are Phoenix's McDowell Station, Scottsdale's Papago Retail Station, Prescott's Goodwin Station, Bullhead City's Highway Station, Bullhead City's Mojave Valley Station, Bisbee's Warren Station and Sedona's West Sedona Branch.
District officials say the decision doesn't preclude studies at a future date for the seven postal facilities or other locations.
