YUMA -- A former Yuma Elementary School District teacher's aide has been charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of sexual conduct with a minor.
Police began investigating 49-year-old Debra Kylochko on August 3 when they received allegations she was having sexual intercourse with a minor. The alleged victim in the case is 14 years old.
Kylochko was arrested on Friday and a judge set bail at $1.4 million during a hearing on Tuesday. The state had sought a bail of $1.5 million because of the charges.
District Superintendent Darwin Stiffler said Tuesday that Kylochko had not been employed with the district since June 5.
