Phoenix police search for shooting suspect on the loose

PHOENIX - Phoenix police homicide investigators are looking for a suspect involved in a shooting.

Around 4:30 a.m. on Saturday officers responded to a radio call of a shooting at an apartment complex at 2028 W. Indian School Road.

When police arrived they found Jonathan James, 21, with two gunshot wounds.

Witnesses told police James has been with several other male subjects in the area when a fight broke out near the front entrance of the apartments.

The unknown suspect then drew the gun and fire at James.

The unknown suspect, described at a black male, 20-25 years old, fled the scene with another person in a white "box style" vehicle.
