RED ROCK SPRINT 2nd Annual Red Rock Sprint and Unified Triathlon to feature over 300 participants plus 100 Special Olympics Arizona athletes. The Sprint Triathlon features a 300 yd swim, a 20k bike and a 5k run. For the Unified Triathlon the Special Olympics Athletes will be paired with participants as part of the Unified Sports program. They will compete in a 50 yd swim, a 2.5 mile bike and a .5 mile run. Saturday, September 12, 2009, Registration begins at 5:30 a.m. Triathlon begins at 6:30 a.m. DC Ranch Village Health Club and Spa, 18501 N. Thompson Peak Pkwy, Scottsdale, Ariz. 85255, Open to the public. Enrollment limited to 300 participants. $75 fee Beginner and experienced triathletes will have the opportunity to compete in a sprint triathlon or be teamed up with a Special Olympics Arizona athlete in a unified triathlon.
