Scottsdale police identify homicide victimPosted: Updated:
SCOTTSDALE -- Police say they have identified a woman who was found fatally shot outside a Scottsdale home last week.
Woman's shooting death still a mystery - azfamily.com's Tyler Baldwin reports a sketch of a woman whose body was found in front of a Scottsdale home has been released.
On Wednesday afternoon, a driver spotted the body in the front yard of a home near 79th Street and Shea Boulevard.
When police arrived, they say they found a deceased female who had been shot multiple times.
The residence where she was found was not occupied when the shooting occurred and no witnesses reported seeing anything to police.
The family who lives in the home did not know the victim.
On Thursday, the Scottsdale Police Department released a composite sketch of the victim to solicit help from the public to identify the victim.
The victim has now been identified Tanya Marie Paige, 18, of Phoenix.
Police say Paige recently had been released from a juvenile corrections facility.
Police are still searching for a suspect in the slaying.
Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the Scottsdale Police Department at 480-312-5000 or SILENT WITNESS.
