GLENDALE -- Glendale police are investigating the death of a 2-month-old girl living at a state-run home for children.
Glendale police spokeswoman Officer Karen Gerardo says police received a 911 call around 6:30 Wednesday morning that a child was unresponsive.
Gerardo says officers arrived at the home, which is located near 75th Avenue and Bethany Home Road and operated by , near 75th Avenue and Bethany Home Road, to find a caregiver performing CPR on the baby.
The girl was transported to a local hospital where she later died.
Gerardo says police are conducting a standard death investigation. A cause of death has not yet been determined.
Gerardo was unable to say if there were other children in the home.
