Man dead after apparent fight - A man is dead after apparently getting into a fight in a Valley backyard.
People living in the area of 70th Drive and Thomas Road called 911 at about 3:30 Thursday afternoon.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found a man using a garden hose to wash up.
That man told officers he had been shot in the face by two other men. Police believe the three had gotten into some kind of argument. Details about exactly what happened, however, are scarce.
"What we do know is that the neighbor assisted him until police and fire arrived on scene," said Det. James Holmes of the Phoenix Police Department. "The young man was actually talking to police and was talking to fire. He walked himself to the ambulance and he was transported to a local hospital."
Doctors said the man was bleeding internally. They were not able to save him.
The victim, whose name has not been released, did not live in the home where he was found. Neighbors said they did not know him.
Investigators said the two suspects might have left the scene in a white sedan.>
