PHOENIX -- A former teacher has pleaded guilty to inappropriately touching a 14-year-old student.

On Tuesday, Jeffrey Schenck, 35, pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted child molestation and dangerous crimes against children.
The plea agreement calls for 12 years in prison plus lifetime probation when Schenck is sentenced on Aug. 24.
Schenck was a teacher at Carson Junior High school in Mesa when he allegedly began sending explicit text messages to a 14-year-old student in February.
During police questioning, Schenck admitted that he had touched the girl several times while at school.
