FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) -- A 15-year-old Boy Scout from Nevada is dead after he collapsed while hiking in West Clear Creek Canyon south of Flagstaff.

The Coconino County Sheriff's Office says the boy from Las Vegas jumped two to three feet off of a boulder and landed on his feet. He then looked back at another scout and collapsed Saturday morning.

Two Boy Scouts and a scout leader performed CPR while a second scout leader called 911.

Rescuers transported the boy's body to the Coconino County Medical Examiner's Office.

CCSO detectives are continuing the investigation in an attempt to determine the cause of death.
