2 Brothers allegedly stabbed by old girlfriend's new boyfriendPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- One man is dead after a late-night stabbing at a Phoenix apartment complex.
It happened at about 11 p.m. Thursday near 46th Drive and Thomas Road.
According to police, two brothers had gone to the apartment to talk to an old girlfriend. Her current boyfriend apparently wasn't going to let that happen.
Officer Luis Samudio of the Phoenix Police Department said the brothers dragged the boyfriend out into the parking lot and assaulted him.
In an attempt to defend himself, the boyfriend allegedly pulled a knife and stabbed the two brothers, police said.
Both men were taken to the hospital where one of them later died. The other bother is expected to survive.
Police said they do not have anybody in custody at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
