QB Warner to help build homes in IowaPosted: Updated:
DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -- Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner and his wife, Brenda, will help volunteers build 20 Habitat for Humanity houses in Cedar Rapids.
Warner, a Cedar Rapids Regis High and Northern Iowa alum, will participate in the annual Habitat for Humanity AmeriCorps Build-a-Thon in June.
The houses will be constructed in partnership with families affected by last June's floods in eastern Iowa.
Warner says he's seen firsthand the devastation of last year's floods, but that there is still so much work to do.
Warner led the Cardinals to their first Super Bowl appearance last season.
