Chandler woman finds four dead cats

CHANDLER -- A Chandler woman who had been giving food and water to some feral cats in her neighborhood found four of them dead Thursday morning.

The woman told Chandler police officers that she also found the food and water dish empty with some green residue left behind.

The cats were found in the 1400 block of West Hawk Way, which is near Queen Creek and Dobson roads.

Police officers do not have any suspects.

Anyone concerned about feral cats can contact the Arizona Humane Society at 602-997-7586 or trap the cats humanely with rented cat traps and then contact the Humane Society to pick up the cats. Cat traps are available for rent at Ace Hardware and large feed stores.
