On Monday, Forrest Martin inadvertently displayed pornographic images from a computer on an overhead projector screen.

The school sent a letter to parents to inform them about the incident. According to that letter, 13 students reportedly saw the inappropriate material.

Parents were stunned.

"We couldn't believe it, that there would be a teacher who would be able to do this kind of thing in a classroom," said Kim Miller, a parent. "We were just astounded."

Martin had been teaching photography at Arcadia for the past year years. He was placed on administrative leave after the incident.

"Evidently, from what I'm being told, he was using his personal computer," said Mary Pakay, another Arcadida parent.

He said he did not know that his computer setup would display the material on the projector.

"It's pretty amazing that a teacher would be able to do that kind of thing in a classroom," Miller said. "I think we need to really address what these kids saw, and the whole issue. I just think it could be very damaging to the kids."

Both the Scottsdale School District and the Phoenix Police Department are investigating the incident.
