Latest AIMS scores bring mixed resultsPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- There are mixed results on the latest round of AIMS test scores.
The good news is that more students at almost every grade level passed the reading and math portions of the test.
On the flip side, however, fewer students across the board -- with the exception of those in the eighth grade -- passed the essay section compared to last year's numbers.
One of the state's goals is for 75 percent of Arizona student to pass the reading and math exams. So far that has not happened, but state officials said they're getting closer to that goal each year.
