Higher reward for information on burro slaughter

LAKE PLEASANT - Animal activists have pitched in to increase the reward for anyone who can help solve a mysterious slaughter of wild burros.

Eleven burros, including many newborns, were shot and killed near Lake Pleasant last week.

Bureau of Land Management rangers are offering a reward to anyone with information leading to an arrest in the killings-that reward is now up to $6,000, thanks to an additional thousand donated by the In Defense of Animals Organization.
