AZ man caught at JFK with stolen items and $150K in jewelryPosted: Updated:
NEW YORK - Prosecutors say an Arizona man traveling through John F. Kennedy International Airport has been caught with $150,000 worth of stolen jewelry and other items after he tried to sneak brass knuckles through security.
Prosecutors say the man also had credit cards and a PlayStation video game console belonging to a Tucson, Ariz., veterinarian whose home was broken into in July. The items were reported stolen.
Security screeners say they noticed the brass knuckles in the man's carry-on bag when he went to JFK on Saturday to travel to Arizona. They say the credit cards and other items were found when the bag was searched.
The man is awaiting arraignment on criminal possession charges.
