Boldin carted off fieldPosted: Updated:
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -- Arizona wide receiver Anquan Boldin was able to move his extremities after a scary helmet-to-helmet collision in the end zone with 27 seconds remaining in the Cardinals' 56-35 loss to the New York Jets.
Boldin caught a pass from Kurt Warner, but was hit in the back and then took a shot to his helmet from Eric Smith. Both Boldin and Smith fell to the turf, and Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald immediately waved to the sideline for help.
After being worked on for several minutes, Boldin was immobilized and placed on a stretcher before he was carted off the field. He was talking to his teammates as he came off the field and went to the locker room before heading to a hospital for precautionary reasons.
Cards coach Ken Whisenhunt said Boldin asked to get up but doctors wouldn't let him.
