Passenger in car shot during attempted robbery in Glendale

GLENDALE - A shooting broke out Saturday night in Glendale.

Police say that at around 10:15 p.m. three men were allegedly out cruising for a drug deal near 59th Avenue and Glendale.

That is when they reportedly came upon two Hispanic men and, in an attempted robbery, one of those male suspects fired upon the vehicle.

The front passenger in the car was hit in the upper body and was taken to John C. Lincoln with appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries. The rear passenger in the car apparently took off running while the driver cooperated with police.
