Rain, snow predicted to continue past ChristmasPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Arizona is a bit wetter and whiter as a winter storm dumped snow and rain throughout the state.
It poured in the Phoenix metro area overnight. The showers are expected to move southeast.
Snow fell in elevations around 7,000, but is expected to be falling in areas as low as 4,000 feet by the afternoon.
And the wintry weather isn't going to let up anytime soon. Another storm from California is expected to roll into south-central Arizona Wednesday night.
The storm should bring heavy snow and gusty winds to parts of the state through Christmas Day.
A third storm is expected to hit Friday.
